Fremont and Milipitas After School Program

Yo-Yo Learning Center was founded in 1997. It is the first 5-day Chinese learning school in the Fremont-Milpitas area. Yo-Yo now offers Chinese programs in both 5-day and Saturday curriculum. The school principal, Ms. Hsiao, was a graduate of the Taiwan Political University with a major in Education. All of our teachers have extensive teaching experience in Taiwan and/or the Bay Area.

While the school curricular is vigorous and nurturing, we also make it fun for the children to learn. The daily program offers a one-hour Chinese class with tutoring for regular school work. Extracurricular practice materials include the popular Accelerated Math and Accelerated Reading software in public and private school curriculum in the United States. Students are encouraged to engage in the lessons so that they may fully understand the class materials and complete the work successfully and independently. Daily logs are kept at school for review of the student's learning progress by parents.

Our summer camp program offers a variety of extracurricular activities in addition to learning Chinese, Mathematics and English. They include arts & crafts, sports, chess, Chinese computing, as well as biweekly field trips to learn plants and animals.
